What is the Noise Kitchen DIY workshop?
A course in soldering and building modular and desktop synthesizers. A workshop for everyone, regardless of experience or age. Participants have the opportunity to gain valuable advice on where to start with modular synths, learn about the role of modular and desktop synths in electronic music, gain insight into the technical aspect of synths and learn about the differences between different types of eurorack modules.
You come in, select a synth you would like to build and we will give you all of the parts, tools and advice you need.
Who is the workshop for?
For synth, music and DIY enthusiasts.It is intended for beginners but also for experienced solderers.
What equipment do I need to bring?
A good mood. We will lend you all the equipment - soldering stations and all other equipment on site.
What do I need to know?
We'll teach you everything. Even if you've never soldered in your life, you'll walk away with the first synth you ever built. But beware, it's addictive.

We'll help you with anything on the spot - even which synth to build.
What is a synth?
An electronic musical instrument.
What is a desktop synthesizer?
A self-contained musical instrument for which you don't need anything other than headphones. Most also run on batteries, so you can play with your music anywhere, anytime.
What is eurorack?
A musical instrument, which you can build and connect depending on exactly what functions (modules) you need. For example, you can build a VCO - sound generator, VCF - sound filter and more. These modules are connected to each other by patch cables. So that you can use the modules.
Come build your first or 100th synth.

Co je Noise Kitchen DIY workshop?
Kurz pájení a stavby modulárních a desktop syntezátorů. Dílna pro všechny zájemce bez rozdílu zkušeností a věku. Účastníci mají možnost získat cenné rady kde začít s modulárními syntezátory, dozvědět se o roli modulárního a desktop syntezátoru v elektronické hudbě, vhlédnout do technického aspektu syntezátorů a dozvědět se o rozdílech mezi jednotlivými typy eurorack modulů.
Přijdeš, vybereš si syntezátor, který si chceš postavit, a my ti poskytneme všechny potřebné díly, nástroje a rady.
Pro koho je workshop určen?
Pro milovníky syntezátorů, hudby a DIY.
Je určen začátečníkům ale už i zkušeným páječům.
Co si musím přinést s sebou za vybavení?
Dobrou náladu. Veškeré vybavení - pájecí stanice a všechno ostatní vybavení ti půjčíme na místě.
Co musím umět?
Všechno tě naučíme. I když jsi nikdy v životě nepájel, odejdeš s prvním synťákem, který jsi v životě postavil. Ale pozor, je to návykové.
V katalogu (na konci tohoto textu) najdeš informace o náročnosti stavby různých nástrojů.
S čímkoliv ti poradíme na místě - i třeba který synťák si postavit.
Co je to syntezátor?
Elektronický hudební nástroj.
Co je to desktop syntezátor?
Samostatný hudební nástroj, ke kterému nepotřebujete nic jiného než sluchátka. Většina funguje i na baterky, takže si můžete hrát s hudbou kdekoliv a kdykoliv.
Co je to eurorack?
Hudební nástroj, který si můžeš postavit a propojit podle toho, jaké zrovna funkce (moduly) potřebuješ.
Můžeš si postavit například VCO - generátor zvuku, VCF - filtr zvuku a další. Tyto moduly se mezi sebou propojují patch kabely. Proto, abys moduly mohl využívat, potřebuješ tzv. kejs.
Přijď si postavit svůj první nebo stý synťák.
