Petrohradská Clawlektiv is a series of screenings curated by film producers Klára Mamojková and Wanda Kaprálová – CLAW Films. The program focuses on films that formally intersect with various spheres of visual art and reflect current social issues. The selection will feature works that are usually not available in Czech distribution, or pieces originally intended for presentation in gallery, performative, or online settings.
The first screening will present a trio of films extending into the visual principles of game design. Following the screening, a discussion will take place with contemporary Czech game developers and filmmakers on the topic of video games as a means of artistic expression.

Somewhere on the Internet, there is a space of 250 square kilometres in which individuals gather in community to simulate a survivalist fiction. Under the guise of avatars, a film crew enters this place and makes contact with the ’locals’’ This mysterious, post-apocalyptic rural landscape is revealed as a meeting place, where stories, ideas and friendships are shared. Slowly the players drop their masks to reveal their realities, their daily lives, their relationships of love and friendship. Mixing their memories of the game with the stories of their real lives, a group will take us on a walk on the borders of the Internet. By going to the edge of the game, in search of the limits of this place, the film explores the first steps of the virtualization of our lives, and questions the future of our world.

In the near future, govcorp Advanced Integration have developed a digital ageing cure. With a small ear-worn transmitter, all human experiences and memories can be encrypted and externally stored. Nothing will be lost. Nothing forgotten. Delirious, a man wanders through city detritus, past people and places he thought were long gone. There’s an inversion signal, the N3G virus, interference and implant weaponisation as the political hacktivist group known as the Negative Underground warps memories into the present tense. Collapse starts with a single crack.

A woman is waiting outside a mall for a Tinder date. Her stream of consciousness drifts through her childhood memories, wonders about love and imagined futures. Based on a loose narrative of one potential date, the story explores themes of humanity in a modern capitalistic society. Gamified by apps, we become players chasing mission objectives validated by likes. The film confronts timeless existential anxiety, now embodied by NPCs and lost Sims.

Petrohradská Clawlektiv je série projekcí v kurátorském výběru filmových producentek Kláry Mamojkové a Wandy Kaprálové – CLAW films. Projekce se zaměřují na filmy formálně zasahující do různých sfér vizuálního umění, reflektující aktuální společenská témata. Vybrána budou díla běžně se nenacházející v české distribuci, nebo díla původně určena k prezentaci v galerijním, performativním či online prostředí.
První projekce uvede trojici filmů s přesahem do vizuálních principů herního designu. Po projekci bude následovat diskuze současných českých gaming vývojářů a filmových tvůrců na téma počítačových her jako uměleckého výrazového prostředku.

V hlubinách internetu existuje prostor o rozloze 250 kilometrů čtverečních, kde se lidé scházejí, aby společně inscenovali survivalistickou fikci. V podobě avatarů do něj vstupuje filmový štáb a navazuje kontakt s „místními“. Tajemná postapokalyptická krajina se odkrývá jako místo setkávání, kde se sdílejí příběhy, myšlenky i přátelství. Hráči postupně odkládají své masky a odhalují své skutečné životy každodennost, vztahy, lásky i přátelství. Proplétají vzpomínky ze hry s vlastními příběhy a zvou nás na cestu po hranicích internetu. Na okraji této hry, v hledání vlastních limitů, film zkoumá první kroky virtualizace našich životů a klade otázky po budoucnosti našeho světa.

Nic nebude ztraceno. Nic zapomenuto. Blouznící muž se potácí městským odpadem, míjí lidi a místa, o nichžsi myslel, že uždávno zmizeli. Objevuje se inverzní signál, virus N3G, rušení a zbraňový potenciál implantátu – skupina politických hacktivistů známá jako Negative Underground přetváří vzpomínky v přítomný čas. Kolaps začíná jedinou prasklinou.

Prostřednictvím běžného okamžiku se rozvíjí úvaha o lidskosti v moderní kapitalistické společnosti. Gamifikováni aplikacemi se stáváme hráči, kteří pronásledují úkoly potvrzované lajky. Film se staví tváří v tvář nadčasové existenciální úzkosti, nyní ztělesněné NPC postavami a ztracenými Simíky.
