Join Jaroslav Slámečka from Candycane Coffee Roastery as we taste coffees from around the world during a guided cupping session and learn to understand its quality.
The event includes tasting portions of filtered coffee. During the event, you can also order espresso drinks made with coffee from our Candycane Coffee Roastery, available on the menu.
Jarda has been immersed in the coffee world for over ten years. He is the Czech Republic champion in Coffee in Good Spirits and will represent the Czech Republic at the 2024 World Championships in Copenhagen in this discipline. He has gained expertise working at establishments such as Kavárna Pražírna, Mezi Zrnky, Kafe Karlín, and onesip coffee. His experiences across various coffee businesses, along with training from top industry figures like Gwilym Davies and Scott Rao, are put to use in consultations, training, and lectures. He also served as a technical and sensory judge at the Czech Championship in Coffee Preparation. In his free time, he produces coffee-related videos for his YouTube channel, 365 cups of coffee.
Candycane Coffee is a specialty coffee roastery founded in 2017 by leading Czech experts. Their goal is to offer coffee lovers deliciously sweet, fully developed cups of coffee. They focus on the freshness of the harvests, which provides the coffee with greater aromaticity and quality.
