CHAPTER 9
Suddenly a loud noise shook the pervasive immutability. The Shadow, so far immersed in their gloomy thoughts, noticed. The landscape so familiar to them surrounds everything one may see. On the horizon, however, they are recognizing a new element shaping itself. A sparkling cluster of energies lures them in like a longed-for change in timeless despair. As they are approaching, they see that this changeable thing reflects the world in which the Shadow is, but not quite.
It seems as if it were a border between two worlds that are the same and yet contradict each other. The same generic landscape could be seen in the reflections or vistas, the same motionlessness. What was light to the Shadow’s universe was darkness to the other world. Two sides of the same coin, absolute absence and absolute presence, both so inconsolant and inconsolable.
Time suddenly seems unlinear, unknown, yet crucial.
Has the portal appeared here now, or has it always been here since the Sun stopped moving, or perhaps even earlier? Is the Shadow - or their counterpart - on the other side seeking the place for their existence?

KAPITOLA DEVÁTÁ
Pronikavou neměnností zčistajasna otřásl hlučný šum. Stín, doposud pohroužen do svých pochmurných myšlenek, zpozorněl. Všude kolem se rozprostírala ta jemu tak známá krajina. Na obzoru však rozpoznal nový prvek nabývající konkrétních tvarů. Šumivý shluk energií ho lákal k sobě jako vytoužená změna v bezčasém zoufalství. Když se přiblížil, uviděl, že to měňavé cosi zrcadlí svět v němž se Stín nachází, ale ne tak docela.
Jakoby se jednalo o hranici mezi dvěma světy, které jsou stejné a přece si protiřečí. V odlescích či průhledech byla vidět tatáž generická krajina, ten samý nepohyb. To, co v univerzu Stínu představoval svit, na opačné straně představovala temnota. Dvě strany jedné mince, absolutní absence i absolutní přítomnost, obojí tak neutěšené a neutišitelné.
Čas se najednou jeví nelineární, neznámý a zároveň zásadní.
Objevil se tu ten portál teď, nebo tady byl odjakživa, od té doby co Slunce ustalo pohybu anebo snad ještě dřív? Je i na druhé straně Stín - nebo jeho protějšek - hledající své místo?

‘Where the Sun Sets and Where It Rises’ is a narrative exhibition saga in Jedna Dva Tři Gallery. The exhibition cycle is divided into 13 chapters and a prologue. Within this series, artworks of 24 artists will be showcased. The exhibitions are a creative dialogue between the exhibiting artists, who come and intervene in the installation and then leave as the story goes.

‘Where the Sun Sets and Where It Rises’ je výpravná výstavní sága na pokračování. Letošní výstavní cyklus Jedna Dva Tři Gallery je rozdělen do 13 kapitol, ve kterých vystaví dohromady 24 umělců. Výstavy fungují jako tvůrčí dialog umělců, kteří přicházejí a zasahují do instalací, ze kterých pak zase odcházejí tak, jak se vyvíjí celý příběh.
