The show follows a call sheet produced to recording stock material for a TV-show. A call sheet is a filmmaking term for the schedule that gives the crew of a film production instructions about where and when they should be and what they should do. When Artistic Break is performed at different venues the show dramatically changes in relation to the specific context.

When you just want a break from reality. When everything feels too stressful. When even your own beautiful life, the life you spent your whole life to be living feels like the most business oriented industry ever. This is when you need a Artistic Break.

The event is video documented by Gallery Extra TV.

Johan Lundin, born 1988 in Lund, Sweden, is an artist producing performance, installation and video. The performativity and audience interactivity could be understood through relating to the notion dance as going in to a role, taking on a mission or a character. An approach is communicated of a setting to always be understood through the character enacting the space, living it, putting life and character in to it, dancing in it. Stating that by the act of dancing one can choose to enhance a setting, see the setting as something else, relate to the setting in alternative ways or make the setting disappear completely.

Gallery Extra is committed to introducing art, in all media, at temporary places. The exhibitions and artworks are mainly presented through live performance and online through video, VR or game platforms. The core in this way of working with art is mobility and communal power and the possibility to collaborate to create a stable but continuously changing production platform. Gallery Extra strives to create opportunities to interact with and reach a broad audience. Technology such as VR and AR and its narrative opportunities serve as an excellent way to meet audiences who do not usually have an interest in art, the technology has proved to create great curiosity for many different ages and audiences. Seeing art as a profound and competent media for social and political discourse, Gallery Extra aspires to serve as a platform for art that interacts with the surrounding society.
