Questionable wear /Tereza Hlaváčová & BWünscher are going to host a cozy evening where you can surround yourself in softness, colors, structures and mainly love for handcraft, which has been one of the bases of their friendship for years. The common denominator of their work is hand-knitted/crocheted pieces, often made with the intention to embrace the beauty of the human body and empower the person wearing them.
As a part of the pop up there will be selected materials by the artists available for knitting, crocheting or simply playing around with.
Free entry :)
Questionable wear is a clothing brand ran by Tereza Hlaváčová, whose main focus is in the field of painting and visual arts. Questionable wear draws from that field and is therefore focused on colors, composition nd transformative potential of unusual or old materials. The project enjoys slowness, dyeing, upcycling and neon colors.
BWünscher was always interested in outsider art, which slowly transformed into being immersed with women’s craft. First it became with knitting - a skill that she learned in childhood from her grandmother, who spent her whole career as a yarn dyer for local company, Vlnap.
Well, fast forward - four years later, after her obsession started, she loves to spend her weekends washing local wool, spinning her own yarn, browsing for dead stock materials or doing her own little research focusing on the history of fiber art. She loves to combine different textures and to create pieces that celebrate every body, transforming itself to fit everyone differently.
