We are glad that Umprum Animation Studio has prepared three screenings for us for the next three months under the epic title: BLOOD, SWEAT, TEARS, LOVE, ANIMATION. We will start with a selection of Sonic Landscapes this month, follow up with Narrative Landscapes in November and finish the series with Abstract landscapes in December.
Sonic Landscapes
The music video and music film format offers great creative freedom. It’s visible on the selection of films through the more that seventy years history of the Animation and film studio at UMPRUM. This selection features a variety of musical genres and diverse artistic approaches. The program includes even original musical compositions made by the students.
Animation and Film studio UMPRUM:
Exploration, experimentation, animation, audiovisual work, short film, artistic solution, seeking and finding, joy!
We build upon traditions, but at the same time, the studio explores formal crossovers and possibilities for experimenting with audiovisual works as such. The Animation and Film Studio offers students a platform for pushing the boundaries of animation. Throughout their studies, students learn about movement ergonomics and explore a variety of traditional and digital animation techniques, always with a strong focus on understanding the evolution of their work over time.
